Maja (Matić) Tica is a Serbian-born composer, arranger, editor, and educator whose musical journey spans across Europe and World wide.
Born in Subotica, Serbia (1986). Maja Tica began her formal music education at the Music School in Subotica, specializing in Theory and Piano. She pursued advanced studies at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), where she studied Composition under Prof. Slobodan Atanacković and later graduated in the class of Prof. Dr. Tatjana Milošević Mijanović.
During her academic years, Maja Tica was employed as a teaching assistant in the composition department. In 2010, she earned both her undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Composition at the Academy of Arts in Banja Luka. After her graduation, she worked as teacher at the Vlado Milosevic Music School in Banja Luka in the piano and composition departments.
In 2019, Maja Tica relocated to Germany, where she became an active member of the musical community in Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
She worked as a composer, arranger, and conductor with the Wittenberg Big Band, and as a piano teacher in Music School in Wittenberg.

Maja Tica continues to shape the contemporary music scene through her compositions, cross-cultural collaborations, and dedication to music education.
